A Subculture in a Violent World: War Correspondents and Conflict Journalism
/I wrote this research paper for an Anthropology of Violence course. It allowed me to delve into previous research on journalists working in conflict zones with a greater understanding of violence theory and through the lens of an anthropologist. My interest in anthropology has always informed my journalistic practices like interviewing and being transparent as a writer. In this paper, I turned the tables a bit to analyze journalists as a subculture.
